March 26, 2010, Newsletter Issue #183: Using Adoption Message Boards in an Adoption Search

Tip of the Week

In this era of the World Wide Web, doors of opportunity have opened up to prospective parents. Don’t neglect the power of the Internet as you search for an infant or child to adopt. Start by finding adoption message boards, especially ones that allow adoption coordinators and agencies to post the adoption situations they have available. A word of caution: always know exactly who you are dealing with before giving out personal information, such as your social security number or financial information; and be sure the agency or coordinator is reputable.
